I Built a PC Inside a PS3!
What happens when a broken PS3 meets modern PC hardware? In this video, I take an old PS3 that no longer works and attempt one of my most ambitious builds yet: turning a PS3 into a fully functional gaming PC.
The challenge was far more difficult than I expected. Unlike a normal computer case, the PS3 was never designed to hold PC components. Every millimeter of space inside the PS3 had to be carefully planned, measured, and modified to fit modern hardware while preserving the iconic appearance of the console.
Throughout the project, you’ll see how I disassembled the PS3, removed the original hardware, and redesigned the interior to accommodate a motherboard, storage, cooling system, and other essential components. My goal was to keep the outside of the PS3 looking as original as possible while hiding a complete PC inside.
Once the build was finished, it was time to see whether the PS3 could actually function as a practical gaming machine. I’ll test temperatures, performance, noise levels, and real-world gaming results to find out if this custom PS3 PC is more than just a cool-looking project.
The best part of this build is that it combines retro gaming nostalgia with modern technology. From the outside, it still looks like a classic PS3, but inside it’s an entirely different machine.
