Coinbase warned that users may face delayed sends on the TON Network, a disruption that can leave customers waiting to move GRAM (former Toncoin) off the exchange. The available evidence points to delayed Coinbase sends. It does not establish that the TON Network itself has failed.
The distinction matters: a delay in one exchange’s withdrawal service can affect access to funds without stopping transactions across the underlying network. Now the question is whether this is a Coinbase transfer bottleneck or evidence of a wider network problem; current reporting supports the former, while leaving the technical cause unknown.
$COIN FLAGS DELAYED SENDS ON TON
🔹 Users may face delays sending on the TON network
🔹 Receives, buys, sells, fiat deposits and withdrawals unaffected
🔹 Funds remain safe, per Coinbase status page— CHItrader (@CHItrader) October 16, 2026
Coinbase’s status page lists delayed TON sends under investigation since 05:29 UTC on October 16, while receives, buys, sells and fiat transfers are unaffected. That limits the problem to one Coinbase function. It does not show that Toncoin has stopped processing transactions, and no protocol failure, validator outage or exploit has been identified.
Coinbase-specific incidents should be evaluated on their own terms, rather than treated as evidence of wider market stress; recent Coinbase coverage offers broader context on the company’s operations.

What Should Toncoin Users Do Next?
An exchange send involves more than the blockchain. Coinbase must process a withdrawal request and route the transfer to the network, while the TON blockchain provides the settlement layer that records transactions. A problem in the exchange’s processing or connection can delay a customer’s withdrawal even if other wallets, validators, and platforms can still use TON.
Coinbase had announced no resolution, so the cause and duration remain unknown. Users should check the incident page before retrying, avoid submitting the same transfer twice and keep the withdrawal record. If Coinbase confirms a transaction was broadcast, a TON block explorer can show whether it reached the chain. The next signal is a status update moving the incident from investigation to resolution.
