The Bellhart in Hollow Knight: Silksong is part of a secondary quest known as The Threadspun Town. It’s first introduced to you as The Haunted Bellhart, where a sinister sense of dread hangs in the air.
The town is stripped of its identity, the bugs suspended in midair, which leaves you as its sole savior. But in order to save Bellhart, you’re going to need to do a few things and even beat a couple of bosses along the way.
So, if you’re having trouble figuring out exactly how to save this poor little place, look no further. This guide will cover finding Bellhart, what you need to confront the forces that have taken control of it, and how to survive its harsh web of danger.
Finding The Haunted Bellhart
Finding the Haunted Bellhart requires you to defeat Moorwing and escape from Greymoor. Luckily, we have a nifty little guide to help you not only defeat him, but make it out of Greymoor.
Once you’ve done that and defeated Moorwing, head to the left from his boss room. This will lead you to the Haunted Bellhart. But in order to save it, you’re going to need a few tools, which can only be acquired by defeating some bosses and obtaining new equipment.
From here, you need to make your way through Shellwood, which is located directly to the left of Bellhart. Here, you’ll find an elevator that will take you up.
Defeat Sister Splinter And Obtain Cling Grip
Press on to the right, ascending to the top, where you can unlock a rest bench. This is an important one, as it will allow you to make the run to both bosses much more tolerable.
Head up with the lift, then continue to the right. Make your way all the way to the edge of the room, taking note of a platform that you can’t reach by normal means. We’ll get there.
Take the left path, where you will need to use the downward slash to pop across the flowers. The second batch requires a bit more skill and use of the Drifter’s Cloak, which is obtained by completing the Seamstress’ quest in Far Fields.
Sister Splinter is waiting for you in the next room. She can be a bit tricky, but you can check out this fabulous guide if you’re needing some help.
Once she’s defeated, you can make your way past her room, where you can make use of our excellent guide to help you obtain the Cling Grip. This is crucial for saving Bellhart, as you need it to reach the next area.
Explore Bellhart’s Source Of Corruption
Return to the wall that you couldn’t reach earlier, using Cling Grip to pop up to the platform. Use your needle to bust through the bells, then head into the next area.
You’ll first be met by some aggressive little guys that have bells fixed to their heads. Get in a couple swipes, then dodge back as they use their bell to leap at you. Eliminate them, then press on.
Bust through the next barrier, where you’ve got a few paths to take. Blocking your way is a larger version of the bell-topped fiends you defeated earlier. They move up and down, and pose little threat.
Slice them up as their underside becomes vulnerable, then proceed up the wall. A smaller bell enemy will drop from below, so be careful of him.
Cross the gap, but mind the bells that come flying down to damage you, then free the flea. He’s part of the ongoing Lost Flea quest, so be sure to save him.
Return to the beginning, and instead of going up, you’re going to go down. Use the Drifter’s Cloak to avoid the spikes at the bottom, then break through the barrier.
Create A Path To Widow
Descend into the depths, where you’ll find more large bells patrolling. Use the Cling Grip to gently slide down the sides, avoiding them. You can take a detour into the left wall, then use that to eliminate the one on top.
Follow the path down to the right, avoiding the spikes. There are a couple of small bell enemies waiting, so vanquish them, then proceed to the right, using Cling Grip to scale the wall.
This alcove holds some rosaries, so grab them, then return to where you came from. Scale back up, only this time, check the gap on the left and bust through. Watch the bells falling from below, then head down. Jump the gap for now, then break open the wall.
This next area will make the run to the next boss, Widow, much more manageable. Make your way across, being mindful that some enemies will be waiting for you on a few of the platforms. Take them out or avoid, while also being careful of the spike pits at the bottom.
Busting through to the next screen, you’ll find yourself back at the bench you unlocked. And by using Cling Grip, you can go straight from that bench to this path, which makes traveling to face Widow much easier.
Return to the gap you ignored, then drop into it. Follow the path, then make your way down to the boss room of Widow. This fierce boss has a lot of different attacks, so make sure you study our excellent guide in order to defeat her.
Save Bellhart
Once she’s down, you’ll be granted the Needolin art. You’ll find yourself in a dreamy, web-covered labyrinth. Use Cling Grip to make your way to the top, where you can use your new skill to unlock the door.
Continue to the right, ascending up the web and using a combination of Cling Grip and Drifter’s Cloak to reach each side. Once you reach the top, head to the left and inspect the ground.
This will trigger a cutscene, after which Hornet will awaken in front of a large web. Use the Needolin to finally break the curse of Bellhart, granting you access to its myriad of shops and brand-new NPCs. You can even strengthen Hornet’s Needle here by speaking to Pinmaster Plinney.
