5 Best Spots to Farm Rosaries

Hollow Knight: Silksong brought with it the foundation of its predecessor but with many more complexities, making it challenging even for those of us who aren’t new to the franchise.

The economy, among other aspects, has been one of the most prominent elements in my experience in Pharloom, especially at the beginning due to the scarcity of the most important currency: Rosaries.

These small round stones represent both the pilgrims’ faith and the primary means of exchange, so you won’t be able to pay for benches, activate fast travel, or buy goods from merchants unless you’re financially sound.

However, now that I’ve put in quite a few hours into the game, I can say that there are several places where you can accumulate a good sum of money in a short time, which are now featured on this list of the five best spots to farm Rosaries in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Deep Docks

Platforming Training

Deep Docks isn’t an area I’m particularly fond of due to the number of platforms and enemies that can harm you, but the fact that it’s full of threats means it’s full of money.

From the Forge Daughter’s bench down and to the right, there is a series of consecutive screens, the upper sections of which are filled with enemies that drop currency. You just have to finish them in a straight line, restart, and repeat the process.

Each run will earn you approximately 85 Rosaries, though it’s not easy. Between enemy fights, there will be sections with bugs that take away two masks with each attack and when they explode, so it’s best to avoid them altogether.

It’s not the most accessible route, but it’s one of the first you’ll be able to take during your journey, so it’s a worthwhile recommendation to consider if you’re having monetary hardships.

Hunter’s March

The Long Run

Speaking of difficult areas, the ants in Hunter’s March are formidable enemies both the first time you go through there and the twentieth, which explains why they’re so rewarding.

Within the site, there’s a particularly long hallway filled with warrior ants willing to lend you their faith if you’re good enough to defeat them regularly, something that might take a couple of hours in the game.

From the bench just below the Mottle Skarr merchant, simply go down and to the left, where the red warriors will be waiting for you, along with other smaller enemies that you can use to recharge silk and heal yourself if necessary.

Unlike Deep Docks, there’s no platforming involved, and you acquire more Rosaries, though that’s offset by how challenging the opponents can be to defeat.

Far Fields

Two Ants and a Dream

In Far Fields, you can also find crimson bugs to train your combat abilities with, although in smaller numbers and closer to the nearest bench.

They give fewer Rosaries compared to the previous two routes, but they are only two ants, making them vastly easier to defeat compared to the battle royale you had to do in the previous entries.

In a cycle, with each run taking approximately 45 seconds, you can earn 76 Rosaries, regardless of any complexity, mastery, or platforming you may have to consider to obtain them.

If Silksong is proving too difficult for you and you want to improve your odds against Pharloom, this route isn’t the most profitable, though it does offer the most security.

Greymoor

Just Steps Away from Home

Greymoor was a tricky level for me, both because of its boss and the fact that I experienced it entirely without a map, but I can’t deny that it’s an excellent place to farm Rosaries.

From Halfway Home to the right, there is a series of basic pilgrims that give you around 50 Rosaries per run, which you can complete in half a minute if you’re agile and powerful enough.

When it comes to accessibility and profit, this is one of the best areas I’ve managed to find to improve my financial situation, especially considering it’s also close to the local Bellway, so you can spend them wherever you want.

Overall, it’s faster and more lucrative in the long run, so I highly recommend it if you already have access to this cursed area.

The Citadel

The Brainless Method

While my best farming spot isn’t exactly in the early game, it’s by far the best and most expedient I can think of, and it’s located in The Citadel’s Grand Bellway.

From the bench near fast travel, simply go left to take out the two enemies that quickly awaken in your presence, then repeat the absurdly fast process (more so if you’ve upgraded your needle).

No other spot will get you closer to the bench, offer you that many Rosaries at that speed, or allow you to accumulate that much money without having to think about it for a moment, because it’s so easy you can do it automatically and with your brain off.

While I haven’t had to farm massively at any point during my experience, it’s the spot I’ve returned to the most to reach that amount of money I need at specific times, making it the perfect alternative whether you’re looking to get rich or just want to reach a specific amount of Rosaries.
