While Dying Light: The Beast does feature multiplayer, it’s primarily a single-player game. Even with that in mind, that hasn’t stopped Techland from mapping out content for it that could rival live-service titles.
Today, the developers have released the Dying Light: The Beast 11-week roadmap, which reveals some of the new stuff incoming to players for free.
Chief among the inbound new features is the addition of New Game+, which is something players have been asking for since release.
Dying Light: The Beast New Game+ Confirmed Along With Higher Difficulty Level
It seems we should be expecting every week when it comes to new features.
Major Additons Confirmed
- New Game+
- Legend Levels
- Nightmare Difficulty
Added Features Also On The Way
- Ray Tracing (PC)
- New Weapon Executions
- PUBG Mobile Collaboration
- Visual & Quality of Life Improvements
The new features don’t have a date attached to each one, so we’re left guessing when these will be rolled out.
Alongside the upcoming features, new community events are kicking off starting today, Oct. 16 up to Oct. 23.
Community Challenge: A Season to Dismember
- Goal #1: Cut off 30,000,000 limbs
- Reward: Lumberjack Car Skin
- Goal #2: Cut off 60,000,000 limbs
- Reward: Woodchopper Axe
There are 11 weeks of these challenges left, with each one housing a reward if the challenge quota is met.
If you haven’t played the game yet, it’s more than just a cash-grab job. It’s a pure standalone experience that’s separate from Dying Light 2, which sees the return of Kyle Crane. Our review of it was heaping with praise, stating, “Much like Kyle Crane’s return, the series has also returned to form with Dying Light: The Beast. Although not a true sequel, it’s a meaningful entry that dials down the tone to a much more sinister and grimier one. It’s a reminder from Techland of why fans love the series in the first place.”
For those that need help, we have a complete walkthrough from start to finish, which should be useful if you ever get stuck or need an assist.
