How to Craft and Use Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2

Titanium as a raw material is a resource that you can find as soon as you leave your Lifepod in Subnautica 2. While there are some uses for Titanium as it is, you’ll need to be able to turn it into Titanium Ingots if you want to craft more advanced items, such as the Repair Tool, Sonic Resonator, and Bioreactor.

The hardest part of crafting Titanium Ingots is unlocking the blueprint for the Processor, which is the piece of equipment you need in your habitat to turn raw Titanium into Titanium Ingots. Luckily, you have a few Processors you can scan for the blueprint near your Lifepod.

Unlocking the Processor

One of your early tools is the Scanner, which you’ll use on objects you come across underwater to learn about them. Once you scan these objects, you unlock blueprints related to them. You’ll unlock the Processor by scanning an existing Processor in the various wreckages you can find. The easiest one to get is likely the Cicada Shipwreck, which you can find roughly 260 meters southwest of your Lifepod.

Use your Scanner on the Processor, and you’ll then be able to build one in your own habitat. To build it, you’ll need:

2 Titanium
1 Mild Acid
1 Copper Wire

While the Titanium can be picked up from the ground, you’ll need to craft the Mild Acid and Copper Wire at your Fabricator. Copper Wire requires two pieces of Copper, which can also be found in the area around your Lifepod and beyond. Then, the Mild Acid is made from two Acidic Raion Pouches and one Copper.

Acidic Raion Pouches are harvested from plants that look like a brain with the Medigel in their center. Like Copper and Titanium, you’ll find them around the Lifepod and beyond, but they tend to be a bit deeper and appear frequently in tunnels and caves. While you can grab the Medigel, the pouches have to be cut with your Survival Multitool to be harvested.

When you have the materials, use your Habitat Builder to place and craft the Processor.

Craft Titanium Ingots

With the Processor ready to go, you can interact with it to place raw Titanium in it and have it craft Titanium Ingots. Each ingot requires three pieces of Titanium and takes 30 seconds to create. Additionally, your Processor uses 10 energy per second to function, so you’ll need to craft Solar Panels for your habitat before you’re able to actually craft anything. Honestly, loading up on Solar Panels and ways to keep yourself fed before you start exploring in earnest isn’t the worst idea.

Once you have Titanium Ingots, you’ll use them for crafts like the Repair Tool that needs one ingot, the Sonic Resonator that needs two ingots, and the Bioreactor that needs two ingots. The Bioreactor is a nice option for more energy to power your habitat, but the Sonic Resonator is more immediately useful, as you need it to harvest larger nodes of resources that you can’t break with your multitool. From there, you’re able to make progress faster simply because you can gather resources faster in Subnautica 2.
