How to Get Donpa Tickets Quickly

In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you need Dodon Pa’s tickets to unlock vehicles, increase friendships with characters, and for pretty much everything in Kart Customization, including dropping thousands on auras.

Needless to say, if you want your car to look cool, want to replicate a vehicle you saw online, or want a character’s second Title through friendship, you will need well over ten thousand Donpa Tickets for it all.

You get tickets for doing just about anything in CrossWorlds, but not every game mode is made equally. Most modes offer varying rewards depending on your placement, and some are better than others at maximum efficiency.

I’ll be running you through the methods you can use to speed up the rather tedious grind for more Donpa Tickets, and with all of these, you only need a couple of hours in order to get hundreds of tickets.

Grand Prix

First and foremost, the Grand Prix mode is easily the best singleplayer method to get Donpa tickets in the game. You get around ten just as a base, then you can use a few methods for getting more.

Namely, I’d recommend beating every rival at least once to unlock Super Sonic, who has the highest stats out of every character in the game, is completely invincible to all damage, and doesn’t even need rings for fuel like in most Sonic games.

You don’t get punished in any way for using Super Sonic throughout the Grand Prix, so you can throw things on Super Sonic Speed, challenge a max level rival, and you’ll get upwards of 15 tickets per race, with a big 25 ticket bonus on the final race if you win.

Of course, that’s still easier said than done, and the rivals cheat a massive amount at their max level, so you need to be skilled, have good knowledge of shortcuts, and a great gadget setup in order to win consistently.

You also get bonus tickets for fulfilling certain conditions, like spending more time in first than anyone else, hitting the most people with stationary items, and several others, which you should guarantee getting by just playing well.

With this, you can absolutely get 25 tickets per race, which is even better on the first cup, which is one of the shorter and easier ones, especially if you’re doing this while going for the next thing at the same time.

Red Rings

If you are hurting for tickets and haven’t obtained every Red Star Ring yet, you should go ahead and do that. Every time you complete a track’s Red Rings, you get thirty tickets then and there, plus some extra on a replay.

Recollecting the Red Rings gives you one extra ticket per ring, then a nice bonus of ten tickets for collecting all five. With this, you can get 25 tickets for the first three races in a cup by memorizing the Red Rings and getting first in each one.

With the 40 Donpa Tickets you get from the finale, that means, under ideal circumstances, you can get 115 total tickets in a Grand Prix that takes around 10–15 minutes to do, which means you’re getting a minimum of 460 tickets per hour.

Of course, that is by playing perfectly, always getting first, and always getting every single Red Star Ring on the track. So expect less, and play like you want more, and your grinding shouldn’t take long at all.

Challenges

One menu that people tend to gloss over a ton is the Extras menu, tucked away on the sidebar whenever you’re in the main menu, completely inaccessible once you hit Online, and yet it is perhaps the most important menu in the game.

For our purposes, the Challenges menu, further tucked away within Extras, is really important to check up on once in a while. Every time you get an achievement, it earns you progress here, and gives you a ton of extra tickets for it.

Granted, plenty of these challenges are big timesinks that aren’t worth going for if you just want to get rich quick, but some of them are centered around using a specific gadget, or playing a mode ten times, or getting some car parts, and those are really easy.

While you’re grinding anyway, I recommend periodically checking out the challenges, and focusing on the ones that seem easy to get done while you’re already doing whatever you want to do. Check back on it once you finish, and you might find yourself a hundred tickets richer.

Festivals

If you played the Hatsune Miku Festival, or any other Festivals that haven’t happened yet at the time of writing, you probably already know how great they can be for your ticket count, as long as you have good teammates.

You get quite a few tickets off the bat, but after you have exhausted all the unique rewards, you get 60 Donpa Tickets for every 100 points you and your team get, which is potentially even more prolific than the Grand Prix.

If you’re playing well, you can get 100 points every 2–3 matches, as long as your team plays well, and you always get first, which isn’t realistic, but neither is winning the Grand Prix against a max level rival 100% of the time.

In theory, this one is a bit better, plus a bit more fun in my opinion. Getting the festival rewards on top of the rewards you get for winning the races anyway is a great source of tickets, so I recommend you try your luck grinding out festivals whenever they’re going on.

Online Multiplayer

While racing online normally isn’t anywhere near as good of a ticket farm as Festivals, you can get upwards of 25 tickets per match by getting first in worldwides, but it is pretty variable.

I did a little bit of testing, and as far as I’m aware, ticket gain isn’t really correlated with your rank. First place would always grant 20 tickets, and your secondary reward could get you five or more tickets.

The upper placement rewards are generally higher than any of the singleplayer modes, so aim to frontrun the entire race and get first. Of course, that’s hard, people can decimate you, and it’s not exactly the most consistent method.

Plus, with random connection errors combined with the minute-long wait between races, you’re probably not getting tickets too quickly unless you’re better than everyone else. I just think mentioning it is worth it, as it’s probably a mode you want to play anyway.

You can also earn tickets in friend lobbies, where the competition will be significantly reduced, and you can ensure a smoother ride, but I believe it doesn’t reward as many tickets when you opt to do that instead of worldwides.

Local Multiplayer

Finally, the ticket grinding method I see almost no one ever bring up: Splitscreen multiplayer is actually incredibly prolific for this. In Race Park specifically, you get a bonus just for playing in multiplayer.

While Race Park usually isn’t the most prolific source of tickets, the Multiplayer Bonus grants you ten extra tickets every race, on top of the bonuses you get for placement, challenging a hard rival team, and your extra bonus.

This means you can get 25–30 tickets per race in Race Park, even more if you have more players. The issue here is that you need friends to play local multiplayer with, and if you don’t have those, there are a few solutions.

The first solution is setting the controls to have smart steering, auto accelerate, and auto tricks, then just steering on multiple controllers. But you could also hop on Parsec and find people online willing to play with you. Either way works, really.

Race Park is considerably more fast-paced than Grand Prix and especially more than online, and if you and your buddies always do well, you can get a hell of a lot of tickets within just a couple of hours of grinding.
