Kingdom Hearts 4 Disney Worlds Leak, Revealing Some Long-Awaited Favorites

A major leak by Steam has uncovered secretive details of Kingdom Hearts 4, including the Disney worlds that will be featured in the upcoming game.

Visible on Steam.db is a list of all available achievements featured in Kingdom Hearts 4, which has provided fans with morsels of information they can use to deduce major details about the game. Namely, the Disney worlds that Square Enix intends to have Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora explore—always a topic of hot debate among fans before the release of the game, especially with the game’s confusing lore.

Disney’s Major IPs Come To The Fore

The leaks reveal that Disney’s biggest hitters will be featured in Kingdom Hearts 4, outside of the already known Land of the Dead world, which is inspired by the film Coco.

The most shocking inclusion is Star Wars, with one achievement rewarding players for completing “all requests in a Galaxy, Far, Far Away”. Another one is titled “May the Light Be with You”, a direct reference to the famous quote from Star Wars, although changing “force” with “light.” The franchise recently just saw huge success with Star Wars: Zero Company and is no doubt looking to capitalize further on renewed interest in Star Wars in video games.

However, this leak is a major spoiler for Square Enix and Disney, who will no doubt be furious that Star Wars’ inclusion in KH4 has been revealed in this way.

Another major world that will feature is Savanna Central, the primary setting of Disney’s Zootopia franchise, which was one of the most requested worlds by fans. One achievement, titled “Magnanimous Mammal”, rewards players for completing all requests in this zone, so fans are likely to meet Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and their gang of animal coppers.

The leaks also give details about other worlds that will feature, including The Underworld from Hercules, with Donald and Goofy’s storyline apparently centering on searching for Sora in Hades’ evil realm. A world based on The Haunted Mansion is expected to appear, with one achievement titled “Haunted Housekeeper”.

Fans will also return to the Toy Box from Toy Story, with fan favorite characters like Buzz and Woody making a comeback in Kingdom Hearts 4. It was one of the most popular worlds in the previous Kingdom Hearts titles, so many players will be pleased to revisit this toy-themed locale.

However, more information on Kingdom Hearts 4 may be on the way as many achievements had missing detail lines that read only “_quattro_console.trophy.explanation_00”, meaning this data has probably not been input by developers yet. If updated, it may reveal even more secrets about Kingdom Hearts 4—however, Square Enix is likely to try to pull all info from Steam in the coming days in a bid to limit the damage.

Steam Leaks Hit Other Major Titles

Kingdom Hearts 4 is not the only game to be totally exposed by leaked Steam achievements—Persona 6 also took a hammering and had major story points and details revealed by the storefront’s leaky backend.

Fans were shocked to read that the game’s vigilante group name was leaked, known as Hex, and will focus on a detective/law enforcement theme that sees the protagonist apprehend suspects in Persona 6’s sprawling dungeons. The game will be set in Yokohama, a coastal city in Kanagawa, Japan, and feature similar mechanics as previous Persona titles, such as social links, Persona fusions and dungeon crawling.

Other titles have also seen major leaks, such as Horizon Hunter’s Gathering, Silent Hill Townfall and PUBG’s DED.NET. Reddit is ablaze with new game titles every minute whose intimate game details have been inadvertently shared with the world. The only thing that remains now is for the studios to begin reacting.
