After numerous weeks of big game releases on the PlayStation Store, we’re in for a quieter week when it comes to new games for the PS5 and PS4.
This should give gamers time to play Battlefield 6, and of course, finish Ghost of Yotei, two of the month’s biggest games.
While there’s nothing as big as those games releasing this week, there are still a handful that might pique your fancy.
PS5, PS4 Store Releases For October 13 To October 19
I’m not kidding when I say there are literally no big game releases this week. When it comes to release highlights, it’s slim pickings.
PS5, PS4 Release Highlights For The Week
Just Dance 2026 Edition (PS5 – Oct. 14) – What’s there left to say? This is the latest dance game from Ubisoft. Expect fresh tracks and the introduction of Party Mode, which should spice up the experience for veterans.
NASCAR 25 (PS5 – Oct. 14) – The first official NASCAR game from iRacing features all four National Series, the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NASCAR Cup Series. It’s NASCAR. Expect lots of burned rubber and high-speed hijinx.
For the rest of the week’s PS5 and PS4 game releases, check out the list below.
- Just Dance 2026 Edition (PS5 – Oct. 14)
- NASCAR 25 (PS5 – Oct. 14)

- Overthrown (PS5 – Oct. 16)
- Reach (PSVR2 – Oct. 16)
- KAKU: The Ancient Seal (PS5 – Oct. 17)
- Terrifier: The ARTcade Game (PS5 – Oct. 17)
- The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes (PS5, PS4 – Oct. 17)
Yep, that’s about it for this week’s releases. While there’s not a lot of AAA titles available, this does give gamers the perfect time to grind and play Battlefield 6, and of course, finish Ghost of Yotei.
Despite launch issues, Battlefield 6 has still managed to rack up an impressive number of players at release, and we don’t see it going down anytime soon.
When it comes to Ghost of Yotei, if you’ve yet to pick up Insomniac’s samurai sequel, check out our review to see why it’s worth the price of admission. Is it better than Ghost of Tsushima? That’s debatable.
Our review states, “Although Ghost of Yotei lacks a cohesive and well-executed main story, it makes up for that with its vastly improved combat and world design. It obviously doesn’t do anything mind-blowing for the open-world genre, but it refines nearly every aspect that made Tsushima special while carving out its own unique identity.”
Don’t expect any major releases in the coming weeks, aside from one odd game or two.
