PlayStation Store New Game Releases For October 27 To November 2
The big day of the week is October 30, which is where a lot of the big games are being released. Check out the list of titles that you’ll want to keep on your radar below.
Highlights
The Outer Worlds (PS5 – Oct. 29) – Obsidian’s RPG sequel. It almost became infamous for being the first Xbox-published game to breach the $70 price tag at launch. Thankfully, Microsoft wised up and didn’t push through with that. So far, the RPG is off to a rocking start based on reviews.
Age of Empires 4: Anniversary Edition (PS5 – Oct. 30) – Another former Xbox exclusive game is hitting PlayStation. This real-time strategy (RTS) title has been rebuilt for consoles, and garnered awards when it was released in 2021.
Arc Raiders (October 30 – PS5) – Embark Studio’s extraction shooter finally drops on consoles and PC. After a successful server slam test, the game is finally out in the willd. If you’re tired of Destiny 2, or just want a PvE experience with PvP elements, then this should do the trick. Don’t be surprised if this is the next big thing when it comes to multiplayer shooters given the reception it’s gotten so far.
Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake (PS5, PS4 – Oct. 30) – After the success of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D last year, it’s no surprise that Square Enix is dipping its toes into the Dragon Quest remake pool once more. Expect old-school RPG goodness with improved visuals and other modern enhancements.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection (PS5, PS4 – Oct. 30) – Celebrate the franchise’s legacy with over 10 games in the bundle, which includes some of the franchise entries that you probably never played before.
Virtua Fighter 5 REVO (PS5 – Oct. 30) – The 30th anniversary of the first 3D fighting game franchise is here, and should be a good primer before the main course gets properly revealed. Expect exclusive costumes, behind-the-scene artwork, soundtracks and more.
