Spire of Insight Puzzle Guide

Throughout your journey in Crimson Desert, you will encounter a handful of tall structures with secrets inside. These tall structures are known as Spires and each of them has a complex puzzle within them that can be quite challenging.

One of the later Spires you will find in Crimson Desert is the Spire of Insight, located in the Demeniss region. This Spire involves searching for various items after reading a series of cryptic messages from a book. Understanding these cryptic messages is not easy, as each of them is very vague.

We’ve got the goods.

If you are having trouble solving the riddles of this Spire, then this guide is for you. Here’s how to solve the Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Spire of Insight Location

The Spire of Insight can be found in the Steel Mountains area of the Demeniss region, east of the Eastern Goblin Camp. Due to its size, it is very easy to spot from far away.

When you first reach the Spire of Insight, you will encounter a horde of enemies to defeat. Luckily, they aren’t very difficult, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble defeating them all.

How to Enter the Spire of Insight

When you first approach the Spire of Insight, you’ll notice that the entrance is blocked off by a series of thick vines. To get rid of these vines, use your Blinding Flash Focus Light ability to burn them away. Keep in mind that since these vines are thick, it takes a moment, so be patient and keep your sword shining on them until they begin to burn.

Once the vines have burned, approach the entrance to the Spire of Insight to find a plaque that reads: “When the bones of the earth awaken from their long silence and find their place, time begins to flow once more.”

This may seem confusing at first, but all it really is asking of you is to find a nearby pebble and put it in the bowl. Luckily, there is a pebble directly in front of the Spire of Insight door.

After picking up the nearby pebble and placing it in the bowl, the Spire of Insight door will open, and you can officially enter. Now it is time to solve the puzzle within.

Spire of Insight Puzzle Solution

Solving the Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert involves finding specific items scattered throughout the spire and then placing them in the center bowl. The book behind the bowl gives you hints on what items you need to find to progress the puzzle.

Floor #1: Gravestone

Crimson Desert Gravestone Spire of Insight

When you read the book on the first floor, it reads: “Even after many years have passed, the traces left behind revive forgotten tales.” This short message is hinting at the Gravestone nearby.

You can find the Gravestone on the desk to the right of the gold bowl and next to a colorful painting. Pick up the gravestone and place it in the gold bowl in front of the book to complete the first floor of the Spire of Insight.

Floor #2: Telescope and Pen Tip

On the second floor of the Spire of Insight, the book says “Records filled with wisdom guide us to the past, while tools that look to distant places illuminate the future.” This refers to the Pen Tip and Telescope.

The Pen Tip can be found resting on a desk southeast of the golden bowl, underneath a fairly large window. Meanwhile, the Telescope can be found on the opposite side of the floor, southwest of the bowl’s location. The Telescope is found on a desk, near a bookshelf with a ladder.

Place both of these items into the golden bowl near the book to complete the second floor of the Spire of Insight. The elevator will rise to the third and final floor of the puzzle.

Floor #3: Celestial, Small Map Rotator, and Sundial

On the third and final floor of the Spire of Insight in Crimson Desert, you need to find the Celestial, the Small Map Rotator, and the Sundial.

First, the Celestial can be found on the ground, in between two of the bookshelves and underneath a window. Next, the Small Map Rotator can be found to the right of the Celestial, on the third shelf up from the ground. As for the Sundial, you can find it on the third shelf up from the ground, next to the ladder.

Make sure to grab the recipe off the wall on the third floor of the Spire of Insight. This recipe will allow you to craft Gold Bars, helping you make a ton of money fast.

Place all three of these items in the gold bowl in front of the book to complete the Spire of Insight puzzle in Crimson Desert. This will bring you to the top of the spire, where you can find a portal that brings you to the Chaos Forest Abyss puzzle.
