The Tool His Old Job Lacked Now Earns $142K/Month

Jason Zigelbaum runs Zigpoll, an app that lets online stores ask shoppers a quick question, like “How did you hear about us?” right after checkout 👀

He got the idea at an ecommerce agency, he explains…

I watched brands pour money into ads and analytics to understand what was happening on their stores…

Analytics could tell them a cart was abandoned, but never why. This gap between measurable data and essential insights bothered me enough that I eventually built the tool I wished we’d had internally.

About 90% of his business comes through the Shopify App Store.

It took two years to get traction, and revenue has roughly doubled every year since.

He recently said he’s at about $142K a month 🤯

No employees, no cofounder, no funding…

I’m the only person that works at Zigpoll… AI has been a massive sort of boon for me, right? Where before I sounded completely insane and now I feel like people are like, oh, that kind of makes sense.

Most jobs have a gap like the one Jason kept running into.

Think about the spreadsheet or workaround you put up with at your current (or last) job, then build the tool that fixes it and sell it where those businesses already shop for software.
