Following the price hikes announced for Xbox Game Pass last week, any news related to the service will taste a little bittersweet for subscribers this month – but, at least, the service is welcoming some pretty heavy games in October.
In its regular Xbox Wire article, Microsoft announced a total of 12 titles that are going to be gradually added to the subscription service, which is now divided into three tiers: Essential (formerly Core), Premium, and Ultimate (both formerly Standard).
In case you missed the controversial news, the new tiered structure means that each plan will have a different game catalog – some titles will be exclusive to certain tiers, while others won’t be available at all. And that’s already reflected here.
Baldur’s Gate & Ninja Gaiden 4 Headline the October 2025 Xbox Game Pass Lineup
It is time to gather all friends, mages, druids, and bards because the original Baldur’s Gate and its sequel, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, are about to enter the catalog for Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Premium.
As an RPG fan, these additions are the highlight for me. However, another one that is definitely getting in my backlog list is the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4, which will be available on Day One for Game Pass Ultimate, alongside the remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black only a few days before.
A final addition worth mentioning is DoubleFine’s brand-new game, Keeper, which is an atmospheric puzzle about a long-forgotten lighthouse – and it looks pretty different from what they have done so far.
