The Spring Madness Modathon has reached its final week, so instead of being down in the dumps because it’s ending, you’d better look on the bright side and remember that you could be one of the big winners of this edition. The Modathon kicked off on 13 April and is getting ready to hand out great prizes to several talented modders, but there is still a chance for you to earn big bucks with your creations.
Last week, the theme was Spring Cleaning, focusing on spring-themed mods, specifically those that brought quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to games, giving them a breath of fresh air. This week, the theme is Fae and Folklore, and, as the name suggests, these are mods inspired by new and old folklore, as well as mythological creatures that pertain to said lore, whether they be legends or reality—whatever you believe in.
8 Games with Fantastic Star Wars Mods You Need to Check Out this May the 4th
Here are some fantastic Star Wars mods for non-Star Wars games that completely revamp your experience.
If folklore isn’t your strong suit, worry not, because this theme is just a suggestion to give you some direction. You can still create a totally unique mod, but remember, you must create a mod for one of the five participating games. Otherwise, it won’t be valid for the Modathon. Also, if you don’t follow a theme, you won’t be eligible for the weekly prizes.
GGMods Modathon Offering Great Prizes
Let’s get down to brass tacks. You want to know which games are participating so you can unleash all your creative juices and score yourself some big bucks. First, I’ll list the games so you can get a feel for whether it’s worth putting a leprechaun in as an enemy in a post-apocalyptic scenario, and also how much you’ll earn after your idea to create a Medusa race in Skyrim is downloaded by millions. Now you know one of the participating games.
The Spring Madness Modathon edition encompasses five games:
- The Sims 4
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Fallout 4
- Fallout: New Vegas
- Stardew Valley

20 Popular Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods Are Now Available on Consoles
Here’s your chance to play Baldur’s Gate 3 as new subclasses on consoles. Or, you know, as a car.
All you have to do is submit your mod for a participating game on GGMods with the tag “Spring Modathon 2026” and voila, you’re in. There are three types of prizes awaiting you:
- A $50 Steam gift card will be awarded to the most downloaded mod this week, per game. And yeah, you can earn more gift cards the more games you submit to.
- $100 USD will be awarded to the most thematic mod per game every week, meaning you can get up to $500 USD if your folklore mod nails it.
- The Grand Prize of $1,000 USD goes to the most downloaded mod submitted for each game during the entire 2026 Spring Madness Modathon. Also, your mod doesn’t need to follow Fae and Folklore, or any other theme, to win the Grand Prize. It just needs to be the most downloaded one. Easy-peasy for a talented professional like you.
Just pay attention to some submission criteria. First, the mod must be entirely human-made, so don’t go partnering up with ChatGPT unless you want to kiss that Grand Prize goodbye. However, collaborations are totally permitted, as long as your collaborators have blood pumping through them. There is no submission limit, so your drive is your only hurdle. And last but not least, for the naughty ones out there, you can, indeed, submit NSFW content in case you want to spice things up with Shane or Penny. We’re not judging!
You can find more information on the GGMods modathon page or on the portal’s Discord server.
